The Role

Hermods Komvux Lärcentrum is seeking a certified teacher in Programming and IT subjects at the upper secondary level for our distance education program. As a distance teacher with us, you will be responsible for teaching in our shared learning platform and ensuring that students have the best conditions to succeed in their education. Furthermore, the assignment involves developing the subject in the learning platform and actively participating in collegial forums to promote more equitable teaching, assessment, and grading.

The work is conducted remotely, primarily during the day, although evening and weekend work may occur. The assignment offers a high degree of flexibility, meaning you can work from virtually anywhere in Sweden. You will report directly to the deputy principal and will be part of various collegial forums such as work teams and subject teams.

Profile

You are a certified and qualified teacher in the aforementioned subjects and are well-acquainted with the school's governing documents, preferably with experience in distance education and adult education. We see that you have good digital competence and use digital tools in your teaching in a natural way. You also have a strong commitment to student learning and employ well-established teaching strategies to help them reach their goals. Knowledge of multilingualism, language-developing methods, and adult learning is an advantage.

You are independent and enjoy working on your own, although good collaboration skills are required to work together with colleagues and other roles in the organization. You have a student-centered approach and an active commitment to creating an accessible, inclusive, supportive, and stimulating educational environment remotely.

Other

The position is a part-time employment (fixed-term agreement), allowing you to combine the work with other commitments. You will need to provide your own computer, headset, printer, and possibly other equipment.
